What we do
MIVO was founded in 2019 with the ambition to simplify how metering data is collected, communicated and used in buildings.
We develop hardware and software that connect meters, sensors, building systems and digital services. Our solutions are built on open, established standards such as M-Bus, Wireless M-Bus and Modbus—giving our customers the freedom to choose the systems and services that best suit their needs.
Development and production take place in Sweden, with a focus on operational reliability, easy installation and solutions built to last.

Our vision
Properties are generating more and more data. At the same time, this information is often scattered across different meters, systems, manufacturers, and suppliers.
MIVO is here to simplify that infrastructure.
By creating an open link between a property's physical installations and its digital services, we make it possible to collect and utilize data without locking the property into a specific platform or supplier.
This provides a better foundation for energy monitoring, individual metering and billing, building automation, and the digital services of the future.
Sustainability
Real estate accounts for a significant portion of society's energy consumption. To reduce usage, it must first be measured and monitored.
MIVO's role is to make that information accessible.
Through reliable data collection, our solutions create the conditions necessary to identify anomalies, optimize operations, and track the impact of implemented energy measures.
At the same time, we strive to consider sustainability throughout the entire product lifecycle – from components and suppliers to production, usage, and long service life.
OMS-Group
At MIVO, we believe in open standards that make it easier to collect and use measurement data. That is why we are members of the OMS-Group, the international, non-profit organization behind the Open Metering System (OMS).
OMS is an open, manufacturer-independent communication standard for measuring electricity, heat, water, and gas. The standard is based on M-Bus and enables compatible meters and collection systems from different manufacturers to communicate with each other.
Through our membership, we support the work for common standards and increased freedom of choice. For property owners and system suppliers, open standards mean less vendor lock-in and better opportunities to develop metering solutions as needs change.
